Welcome To Boyd Lake Road Church of Christ

The Boyd Lake Road congregation began meeting together on June 28, 1995 in a member's home. Six months later the church purchased almost six acres of land which included two small structures. After some renovations, the church first met at the present location on January 14, 1996.

One of the members, Kenny Sturdivant, began working with the church as minister on a part-time basis. In August 2002, the church began planning for a new meeting house. The members began construction in late September of 2002 with men from the congregation doing most of the work. In April 2003 the building was completed.

The congregation has been blessed to receive support from the Washington Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee in 1997. The Camden Avenue Church of Christ in Parkersburg, West Virginia began to assist in the work in 2003 and in 2006 the Florence Blvd. congregation in Florence, Alabama also began helping with financial support. In 2006 the Tusculum congregation in Nashville, Tennessee also began supporting the work.

Kenny Sturdivant was transferred to Kentucky by his work early in 2006. The church began a search for a man to work with them full time.

In August 2007, Rob and Sharon Albright arrived to work with the Boyd Lake Road congregation.

The congregation has been richly blessed by God since its beginning and is committed to continuing to grow in His love and in service to God.
